A land of history because three of the world’s major religions coexist here: Christianity, Islam and Judaism. Jordan is home to the site of Jesus’ baptism, Mount Nebo from which Moses saw the promised land, and a host of other places mentioned in the Bible.
Two interesting facts: given the “height” above sea level of the Dead Sea area (-420 meters), sunscreen will not be needed: UV rays cannot penetrate the atmosphere here. Moreover, the concentration of oxygen here is three times higher than in the rest of the world.
Moreover, Jordan lies exactly between Europe and Asia, so it has always been considered a strategic area. Moabites, Amorites, Israelites, Greeks, Romans and Nabateans are just some of the civilizations that have lived in this area of the Middle East.
